Fresh off the boats, freshly paid, and freshly shopped, a group of four adventurers arrive again in Draco Bay, one of the largest settlements of Dragonborn kind. Not sure what to do with themselves as of the time, Ganon of the Orc Brokentusk tribe, dawning an artifact of obscurely symbolic armor, rises to his duty of vigilante justice as The White Lion. First stop in his crusade of never ending justice, The Guard’s station. Inside he approaches a desk manned by a red Dragonborn, with an eyepatch, and his dreads in a Mohawk fashion, where his hopes of speaking with Captain of the Guard is crushed. Not yet hopeless, he asks about any problems they might be having or if there is a bounty board of some sort. And as calmly and coolly before, he tells the visitor that the Guard have everything handled, so there is no need of bounty boards. If he’s fishing for something to do though, there has been an increase in spiders in the area as of late. Still not convinced of his unworthy he decides that there surely must be troubles spoken of in any of the local taverns.
Arriving at Marina’s Tavern, with the others following behind still, he speaks with a woman at the bar presumably named Marina. She tells him that there really aren’t any issues because the guards take care of things pretty well. The only thing she’s heard of is one of the elves at a table in the bar got robbed last week, pointing towards a table with a chubby elf, and two leaner looking elves, two of which are pretty drunk. Finnel, the tiefling cleric surveyed the bar, noting a table of kobolds mixed up in some rascality amongst themselves. Another table being a booth housing a white kobold boxed in and 6 dragonborn filing up the outer layers. The third notable table being in the dark corner a trio of lizardfolk, one brute sized blackscaled, another medium sized greenscaled, and a third smaller greenscaled one with a more wan appearance. The last table notable consisted of the previously pointed out elf table. Mr Langston, ordered a loaf of bread and sat down near the Kobold table. After eyeing the commotion he picked up on the game they were all playing. They two players each put in a gold. One of the two laid down their hand on the table, the other stabbed it with a dagger. If the dagger wielder stabbed the hand he got the gold, if the other player removed his hand in time, he won the gold. The cleric offered a few prayers to his god for the reflexes he needed, and approached the table. At first confused by and in paranoid of the situation, they stared at him. He asked to play and they greedily allowed more gold flowage into the table. Finnel, with some help of his lord Bahamut, excelled at this game, even dodging two daggers at once. Even after he was done with his participation, he was still nearby as help, for one of the kobolds fell unconscious due to blood loss, and for a small fee healed the kobold. Aegeus the bulky minotaur, and Ghyrryn the lanky Gnoll chose to sit in the shadows as well. Looking across the bar they spotted a few fleshy saps obviously sitting in wealth. Ganon, walked to the table of elves. He approached and asked about their stolen goods, and find that there really isn’t much of an issue to be dealt with. At the same time the two beast men walk over to the table with a drink and under the gnoll’s cue to play along. They started to argue over who’s drink it was, with the elves laughing in a drunk haze about the beasts acting so primal. Getting to Aegeus’ nerves, Aegeus shoved Ghyrryn into and over the table the elves were sitting at. Ghyrryn taking this as his opportunity, he snagged the gold pouch belonging to the fat one and got up. He apologized and the two decided to get drinks rather than fight more. Ganon noticed what the two had done, but stood idly by, when justice could have been served. Worst Superhero ever.
After Finnel did his magic, and bought himself a drink, he noticed the booth with the white kobold all staring at him occasionally. Not enjoying the privacy invasion, he walked to the table and started to speak with them. The lot, especially the kobold started criticizing his faith. In what seemed like the upper hand of the argument, Finnel insulted the kobolds parents, the kobold had run out of insults. In response, he invited the cleric to his boat. The two outside dragonborn grabbed his arms and held tight. The kobold said they’d escort him Finnel, trying to cue in he might be in danger kept the conversation going, asking about being taken out to eat first, the kobold merely disregarded it by saying he’d get his dinner. And the 8 left the building. They weaved a bit through alleys until they finally stopped at one where the two red dragonborns dawned guard armor and stood watch at the different sides of the alley. Ghyrryn and Aegeus followed behind the 8 to make sure nothing bad happens and they can intervene if necessary. Ganon, instead of being the superhero he is, stayed back in the tavern, asking people to come with and help him save his friend. No one responded, so he went directly up to the table of lizard folk, an set his hands down on the table. The medium sized lizard responded by asking him to remove his hands from the table as not to make in dirty for no reason. He asked them to help and they said no, he then asked them again but with payment involved. They bargained a gold price, 30 each on their side, 15 each on his side, 31 each on their side, 30 on his side, and it ended with 31 being the price. He paid half first and half would be paid after they helped him save his friend.
The Kobold spoke to Finnel, “I have a question for you” Finnel allowed for the inquisition, “Which hurts worse, this way?” And a dragonborn smacked Finnel with the backside of his axe. “Or this way?” And then another slashed his back with the blade of his axe. Finnel responded saying the blunt side hurt worse, “Well then here you go” And another dragonborn hit him in the face with the blunt side of his axe. Combat started and Finnel healed himself. Ghyrryn and Aegeus rushed in to help their comrade. The dragononborns opened with lightning breath, and the kobold escaped fighting distance and used his staff to blast white orbs at people. One of the Dragonborns wearing guard armory got an advantage towards Ghyrryn, effectively severing his left wrist from his arm. The hand fresh in the air, Ganon arrived on the scene. Not sure what to make of the situation, he started with an attack by throwing a small axe at a dragonborn. Right after, the wan looking lizard threw a javelin at the guard armored dragonborn skewering him, making him drop. The black one walked up looked at the dead body and just stands there wondering why they are even thee if the enemies are so easy to defeat. Aegeus in the battle ended up killing a black and a gray dragonborn, and the medium lizardfolk upon entering battle threw his spear at an enemy, and the spear appeared back in his hands. Not wanting a fuss and clearly being at the disadvantage he offered to the group that they end the battle right now before the guard show up. Ghyrryn decided that the answer was no, and the wan lizard threw his second javelin killing the second guard. Finnel healed himself fully of all injuries. And then the guard showed up.
Ghyrryn vanished hastily at the site through an open window to his right. The Kobold told them that these guys were assaulting and killing the guards. The guards responded to him by name, Master Tyrathik. Finnel tried to defend by telling the truth, but with being fully healed his claims were unlikely. Everyone was told to drop their weapons, and get on the floor. The guard confiscated all weaponry, and then made them all stand up with their hands on their heads. Everyone was escorted back to the Guard’s station. Ghyrryn regrouped himself, stopped the bleeding and exited to watch the station. The groups of 3 were held in 3 different cells based on their clique. Eventually the gang noticed Tyrathik and his two remaining dragonborn walk by and toward the door. They also notice him look at them, grinning as he left. They are then escorted by a woman to a room with a desk with three chairs on one side and 1 on the other. The Mohawk dragonborn entered the room and told them Captain Ward would be in shortly and the two left. Ward did arrive, he sat down in his chair across the three, I his well appearing armor, he took off his helmet to reveal many scars, one of which ran down his left eye making his pupil and iris appear white. He asked them all what happened, and they all spilled out the truthand confessed to the murder of the men in the alley. He then in turn responds with how tyrathik said it happened. Tyrathik said that they were just in a friendly bout in the alley and the lizard folk came in and they murdered the 4. He explained that their punishment would be banishment from the city, and that it was their home city. He mentioned that at their release they will be escorted around town and will have an hour to gather things before they leave. He then told them he had one last question. He plopped down a gnolls left hand. They tried to lie about it but eventually told him the truth. He gave them a letter of favor to take to a Mr. Dodge in Oorvirk Castle to the north and said there was a teleportation circle in the trading district. Finnel and Aegeus left the station to go find Ghyrryn. Ganon feeling bad, tried to plead to take responsibility, but Ward didn’t budge. The best he did was let The White Lion watch him give the rest of their payment to them.
Ghyrryn noticed the bunch leave the station, and waved to them. The lizard folk were escorted by the woman and Mohawk dragonborn, and then finally Ganon left. Instead of finding the group he decided to stake out at the north gate. The group proceeded to follow him. When they got there, they realized that they never got their weapons back. Aegeus volunteered to go back and get them, and the rest waited. Eventually the Lizardfolk and the guards got there and the lizardfolk left. Waiting for them to be outside of town, so they can’t hurt him, Ganon asked if there was anything he could do to repay them, since he got them banished from their home and emphasized how sorry he was. The middle one responded “You could stop being such a woman. “ Then Ganon offered up gold to them and they accepted it and they left after explaining to questions of why they don’t mind, and because they were growing bored. Aegeus got to the station and asked the guard about the weapons. He told him that they don’t have it anymore, and when asked where they were he explained that Tyrathik took them all. He asked where to find Tyrathik, and the guard told him about his boat in the trading district, with a statue of him on it. As well that there is a white flag with light blue open fangs with a T in the middle. The guard explained to him that Master Tyrathik is a high up in the city and he temporarily heads the Goldscale house because the leader is off on business. He tells him that Tyrathik likes women, (especially dragonborns) trophies, and some other thing I don’t remember. Aegeus retreated back to the gang to inform them all of the bad news. Infuriated with Tyrathik, the gang go to find poison to purchase. Above all other voices they hear more loudly the yell of a gnome with a stand. “Poison! Get your poison here! Poisons you won’t find anywhere else!” Finnel starts conversing with the gnome trying to haggle for lower prices. The gnome explains how good the poison is, and how to properly take out a hippo with it. Finnel offers to buy a quantity for half of what it’s worth, he offers the exact opposite, and at some point he offers to sell it and pour it directly into the mouth, and it ends with the offer “For 15 gold I’ll give you everything in this sack” Finnel purchases it and doesn’t think twice. He tells them his name, and it was something Grassroot. The gang then makes their next stop the mage guild of the town. The apprentice there mentions that he isn’t good enough to do it, but if they come in the morning their leader might be able to. They then set forth into the night to assassinate Tyrathik.
